COPPERAS COVE -
Copperas Cove police have arrested one of two suspects who robbed a local Dollar General store Thursday night. The incident happened at approximately 7:11 p.m. at the 200 block of Cove Terrace.
A man and woman entered the store, and the man showed employees a knife. The couple was able to steal an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene on foot towards the 300 block of Carpenter Street.
When officers arrived at the scene they noticed the knife had been left behind.
One of the officers later found the female suspect hiding behind an air conditioning unit behind the Robertson Ave Baptist Church. Jessica Raine Blechinger was taken into custody, and an officer was able to retrieve a bundle of cash that was found on the ground next to the suspect.
