Waco police is actively searching for a driver involved in a hit and run accident on Tuesday.
The incident occurred on Interstate 35 a little before 5 p.m., when white 2008 Mercury four door vehicle was side-swiped by dull blue tractor trailer truck.
A 30-year-old female was injured in the accident and was taken to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center.
The blue tractor trailer truck stopped momentarily before taking the Martin Luther King exit off of the interstate and driving away from the scene. The driver failed to identify with police.
