Police search for restaurant burglary suspect

Copperas Cove police are searching for a person responsible for burglarizing a local restaurant on February 7. Police went to the Black Meg Restaurant located at the 1500 East Highway 190 at 4:00 a.m. to investigate a shattered glass door.

The investigation revealed the suspect had broken the door and entered into the business. The suspect was able to enter the safe and take an undisclosed amount of money.

Copperas Cove police is still investigating the incident and ask that if anyone has any information they can send tips anonymously through the Copperas Cove Crime Stoppers tip number (254)547-1111 or www.tipsubmit.com. A cash reward is up to $1,000 in cash for information that can lead to an arrest.
