U.S. Representative John Carter is proposing a bill for victims of the 2009 Fort Hood shooting to get the assistance they say they are being denied.
Congressman John Carter decided to re-introduce the bill after ABC's Chief Investigator Brian Ross interviewed Kimberly Munley who feels President Obama broke his promise to take care of the victims.
The bill extends full benefits to the victims of the 2009 Fort Hood shooting. It also makes the fallen soldiers eligible for the Purple Heart or the Department of Defense civilian equivalent.
Congressman Carter also re-introduced another bill that will protect service members for being persecuted for political correctness when alerting law enforcement about Islamic and other terroristic threats.
