Waco, TX - Conditions on a Carnival cruise line continue to worsen by the day after a fire broke out, causing complete power loss.
The Carnival Triumph departed last Thursday en route to Cozumel, Mexico with over four thousand passengers and crew. No passengers were hurt in the fire, but all electricity to food and sanitary services were disabled.
Family members of those on board say it's hard to completely grasp just how bad the conditions are. Tom Baird, whose wife is on board, say's although he is in contact with Carnival, he still wonders how bad it actually is.
"There giving me all the information I need, I just don't have any way to substantiate their level of being comfortable."
A tug boat is en route to the stranded vessel and will tow the ship to a port in Mobile, Alabama by Thursday.
