Copperas Cove ISD schedules make up school days for December bomb threats

COPPERAS COVE -

Copperas Cove Independent School District announced Monday they have scheduled two make up school days for the three days missed in December due to various bomb threats.

CCISD requested to initially waive the three school days that were missed from December 12-14, but the Texas Education Agency denied part of their request.

TEA denied waiving two days, so the district will have classes on previously scheduled "Bad Weather Make Up days" of February 18 and March 29. TEA did approve waiving the third missed school day.

School was canceled at CCISD in December after nine bomb threats  were reported at three different schools in eight days.

The school district says the canceled school days provide time for the district and campus administration to update and enhance existing security plans while coordinating with local authorities on investigations.
