
WACO, Texas (AP) - Cory Jefferson scored 6 of his 15 points in Baylor's big game-turning run and grabbed 10 rebounds as the Bears snapped a 3-game losing streak with a 75-48 victory over Texas Tech on Saturday.
Pierre Jackson scored 15 points, while Isaiah Austin also had a double-double (13 points, 13 rebounds), for the Bears (15-8, 6-4 Big 12), who avoided their first 4-game losing streak in four years.
Jamal Williams' eight points were the most for Texas Tech (9-12, 2-8), which has lost four in a row.
Baylor went ahead to stay with a 15-0 run in the first half in which Brady Heslip hit two 3-pointers and Jackson made another from long range. The Red Raiders missed 10 consecutive shots during that 5-minute stretch.
Tech then missed its first 10 shots in the second half, while the Bears opened with a 16-1 run to go ahead 53-26.
