Sexual assault investigation leads to arrest of Copperas Cove man

COPPERAS COVE, TX (KXXV) -

A Copperas Cove man has been arrested following an investigation that accused him of sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl. David Lee Dean was charged with aggravated sexual assault of child for an incident that occurred on Thanksgiving Day in 2012.

The investigation began January 20 when the victim told police that the suspect had been touching her and made her uncomfortable.

During a forensic interview, the victim said that the incident occurred during a Thanksgiving Day 2012 visit to Copperas Cove. She said she had gone to sleep only to be awakened by fondling.

Investigators obtained an arrest warrant and arrested Dean.
