MILAM COUNTY -
A Cameron man has been arrested after law enforcement officers seized various drugs and firearms from a home in Milam County. The Milam County Sheriff's Special Investigations Unit searched two homes for drugs after conducting a four month long narcotics trafficking investigation.
Law enforcement officers searched a home in the 1100 block of Ben Milam Road and another in the 800 block of West 2nd Street in Cameron around 12:30 p.m. Thursday.
27-year-old Isidro Dominguez III fled from the home on 2nd Street in a car, and nearly drove into deputies who were attempting to stop him. Dominguez was eventually stopped after a chase and was taken into custody.
Authorities found cocaine, marijuana, guns and items commonly used for the distribution and the sale of narcotics at both locations.
Dominguez was charged with two 2nd degree felonies, possession of a controlled substance and tampering with evidence. He is also facing charges of aggravated assault on a public servant, evading arrest in a motor vehicle and a misdemeanor marijuana possession.
He is now in Milam County Jail.
