WACO -
An alert neighbor led local police to the arrest of a man accused of stripping metal out of an east Waco home. Brad Eugene Taylor was arrested Wednesday for burglary of habitation of a home at the corner of Live Oak St. and Turner St.
Officers were called to the home when neighbors heard loud banging noises. As they arrived they saw Taylor running from the home. He was later found hiding in a nearby abandoned car.
After an investigation officers determined that the metal and wiring in the home had been removed.
Taylor did not immediately identify himself to officers, but when police learned of his true identity, police determined that he had multiple warrants out for his arrest.
Along with the charge of burglary of habitation, Taylor was also charged with failure to identify and evading arrest. His existing warrants out of Bosque County were for burglary of a motor vehicle and criminal mischief.
