TEMPLE -
Scott and White Emergency Medical Services celebrated its move into their new headquarters at 505 North 3rd Street on Wednesday. The move was a result of growing demand and the expansion of the fleet.
Scott and White EMS recognized the need to better facilitate care for the community and its patients.
Director of Operations, Chuck Pearson, said, "Some of the things that have changed with this station versus our older station is location. We are in a different part of town. We are able to decrease our on time percentage for our 911 calls."
The facility recently underwent more than $500,000 in renovations that were completed in January of this year. The building consists of three ambulance bays, a dispatch center, living quarters for EMS personnel and other accommodations.
