FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) - TCU has signed 2 of the top high school running backs from Texas to national letters of intent.
Kyle Hicks, a four-star recruit from Arlington Martin, and Houston's Trevorris Johnson were among a signing class of 22 players Wednesday for coach Gary Patterson after the Horned Frogs' first Big 12 season.
Hicks had 1,571 total yards of offense and 28 touchdowns in only nine games as a senior, including 1,113 yards rushing. Johnson had a 342-yard game for Alief Taylor High and finished with 2,115 yards last season.
The Horned Frogs, the former 2-time BCS buster who won seven games after moving to the Big 12, signed four offensive linemen. That group included 6-foot-3, 288-pound center Patrick Morris from Denton Guyer.
