FALLS COUNTY -
A Navarro County couple was killed in a head on collision in Falls County Monday afternoon. The Department of Public Safety says the incident happened in the late afternoon on FM 147 east of state Highway 6.
A 2008 Chevy Silverado pickup truck driven by 51-year-old Joan Davison Barganier of Marlin was going westbound on FM 147. While in a curve, the truck entered the opposite lane and sideswiped a 2001 Kia Rio.
Barganier then struck a 1997 Lincoln Town Car head on.
The driver of the Lincoln, 74-year-old Geneva Stone of Streetman, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her husband and passenger, 78-year-old Marvin Stone, was transported to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center, but was pronounced dead a short time later.
Barganier was transported to Hillcrest with serious injuries.
