KILLEEN -
A Killeen man has been arrested and remains in the Bell County Jail after he attempted to strangle his girlfriend. Killeen Police were called to the 1900 block of Wood Ave early Thursday morning in response to a call about a violent domestic disturbance.
When they arrived they found a woman with injuries to her neck. The woman told police her boyfriend had gotten violent during an argument and had attempted to strangle her to the point that should could not breathe.
Paulino Mendoza was arrested on the scene, charged with strangulation, and is being held without bond on a immigration charge.
