TEMPLE -
A Temple man is arrested after he refuses to obey a police officer's directions. Monquail Tyrone Lawrence has been arrested and charged with failure to identify, driving with an invalid license, and possession of a controlled substance.
An officer was directing traffic at the scene of a minor car accident. Lawrence disregarded the officers directions and was immediately stopped.
Lawrence provided false identification to the officer, and the officer found out Lawrence's license had been suspended.
Lawrence was arrested, and during the arrest officers found a controlled substance in his possession. Lawrence attempted to stomp the substance under his foot in an obvious attempt to destroy the evidence.
