A Bell County man has been arrested after authorities called off a late night manhunt. Bell and Coryell County Deputies and DPS Troopers searched for 19-year-old Keegan Michael Chrisner late Thursday night after a domestic dispute escalated.
Authorities were called out for a disturbance at the 17000 block of Moody-Leon Road in far north Bell County. Deputies say Chrisner had been drinking and got into a fight with his brother.
His grandfather tried to intervene and other family members told Chrisner that were going to file assault and injury to the elderly charges. Chrisner was upset, grabbed a weapon, and fired some shots, but not a family members.
When authorities arrived at the home, Chrisner had fled the scene. Authorities initially believed that Chrisner had shot himself, and searched for him late into the night.
A helicopter was called in to help with the search, but after three hours of looking the victim hadn't been found.
Just before midnight Chrisner walked back up to one of the family's homes on the ranch where the incident occurred. There was no indication that Chrisner had shot himself.
Chrisner was taken into custody, and charges are pending review by the Bell County District Attorney's Office. No one was injured in the incident.
Chrisner's father, Richard Chrisner, was also arrested for driving while intoxicated.
