GRAND PRAIRIE -
A Grand Prairie man wanted for murder has been arrested. Dallas Police Officers found and arrested 31-year-old Christopher Darrell Jefferson around 3 p.m. Thursday afternoon. Jefferson is accused of shooting 24-year-old Latoya McGowan and McGowan's mother.
The incident occurred at approximately 10:48 a.m. on Tuesday at the 2000 Block of Eva Street. When officers arrived they found the two women with gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to Methodist hospital in Dallas where McGowan was pronounced deceased and her mother was treated and released from the hospital.
The McGowan's children witnessed Jefferson shoot both their mom and grandmother.
Grand Prairie Police originally believed Jefferson was headed to the Waco area.
Jefferson is currently being held in the Grand Prairie Detention Center on a one million dollar bond.
