Three men are behind bars after robbing a man who responded to their Craigslist ad and then fleeing from police. Officers received a call from the victim saying he had been robbed by three black males Friday afternoon.
The caller said he was meeting with a person to purchase a set of rims he found on Craigslist. When the victim arrived he was asked to sit in the sellers white Ford Crown Victoria.
The victim was then robbed at gunpoint and was forced out of the vehicle. The suspects then fled the scene, but the victim was able to follow them and call police. Officers with the Killeen Independent School District were the first to find the suspect vehicle and began a pursuit.
The suspects later abandoned their vehicle on Green Oaks Dr. and fled on foot. KISD officers and Killeen police officers began to search the area.
As the authorities were searching the area, one of the officers saw a small black four door vehicle in the area of Chimney Rock and Briarcroft Lane driven by a black female.
A little later the same vehicle was seen backing out of a driveway in the nearby with the female driver and the three robbery suspects. Police stopped the vehicle and all four occupants were detained.
19-year-old Antonio Marquise Belford, 19-year-old Tre'quan Shavae Locke and 17-year-old Travon Andra Foster-Jones were each charged with aggravated robbery with a firearm and were transported to Killeen City Jail.
Their bond is set at $100,000 each, and police say all three men have been linked to other similar cases.
