WACO -
A 55-year-old Waco man is being held on charges that he attacked his elderly parents. Steven Caldera was arrested late Wednesday night for the incident on the 3700 block of Pine Avenue.
When Waco police arrived on the scene they found an 87-year-old woman and a 91-year-old man who had been assaulted by their son, Caldera. The couple told officers they had gotten into an argument with Caldera and that the incident turned violent.
When the couple attempted to call police for help, Caldera took the phone and prevented them from doing so until later.
Caldera was taken into custody and transported to the McLennan County Jail. He faces charges of two counts of injury to the elderly and one count of interference with an emergency call.
