CORYELL COUNTY -

Two people are arrested after deputies of the Coryell County Sheriff's Office found marijuana in a Gatesville home. 38-year-old Shawna Phalene Johnson and 17-year-old Joesph Ryan Johnson were both arrested and charged with engaging in organized criminal activity.

The Coryell County Sheriff's Office along with the McGregor Police Department went to a residence in the 300 block of North 19th Street Wednesday at 10 a.m. The search was part of an ongoing drug investigation that began two months ago.

Officers found and seized of over four ounces of marijuana, and arrested Shawna Johnson. Joseph Johnson was not on the scene at the time of the search, but later turned himself in to the Coryell County Sheriff's Office.

He was also charged with possession of marijuana over four ounces but under five pounds, which is a State Jail felony.  His bond for his charges totaled $20,000.

Both are still being held in the Coryell County Jail, and a joint investigation between the Coryell County Sheriff's Office and the McGregor Police Department is still ongoing. Police say other arrests will be made as the investigation continues.
