WACO -

A man is caught attempting to steal from a local day care early Thursday morning. 26-year-old Jeremy R. Minnitt has been arrested and charged of burglary of a building.

Waco police responded to a burglar alarm call at 4:20 a.m. to a day care center at 1301 Ross Ave. When police arrived, they found a hole had been cut in the chain link fence surrounding the center.

As authorities began a search of the building and they found Minnitt hiding in a classroom.  They also found in the building cash, checks and other property stacked up as if they were being prepared for removal.

Minnitt was arrested at 4:40 a.m. and was transported to the McLennan County Jail.
