CORYELL COUNTY -
A Killeen man has been killed after enduring a side impact collision in Coryell County. The Department of Public Safety says 62-year-old Lloyd Jay Bennett was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident
The incident occurred at 12:53 p.m. on Tuesday at FM 215 and Coryell County Road 248 North of Gatesville. Bennett, a telephone company employee, was driving southbound on FM 215 when a 1997 Ford truck slammed into his vehicle.
The truck was driven by a Gatesville man westbound on Country Road 248 and failed to stop at a stop sign. Bennett's vehicle was struck on the left side and caused it to rollover.
