WACO -
A man who fled from Waco police in August after officers find drugs in his vehicle has been arrested. 26-year-old Robert Lee has been charged with possession of cocaine and possession of marijuana as well as evading arrest.
The department's Street Crimes Unit stopped a car driven by Lee at the intersection of 12th and La Salle back on August 17. Following the stop, officers asked for permission to search the car and found a small red box containing a number of crack cocaine rocks.
Lee took off running and after a foot chase, he was able to evade officers. After a further examination of the car, officers found a quantity of marijuana.
An arrest warrant was obtained for Lee who was spotted by officers early Tuesday morning. He was arrested and taken to the McLennan County Jail.
