LORENA -
A Nacogdoches man has been arrested on charges of stealing prescription drugs from a Lorena grocery store. Preston DeJuan Moore was working for a company hired to conduct an inventory of the Brookshire Brothers store.
Lorena police Chief Tom Dison says the pharmacist at the Brookshire Brothers store kept immaculate records of his own inventory and immediately noticed something was not right after contractors had worked his section of the store. He notified police about the missing drugs.
When officers arrived they began conducting interviews with potential suspects and recovered 200 hydrocodone pills, another quantity of hydrocodone and a quantity of codeine.
Moore was arrested and charged with possession of codeine and hydrocodone. He has been transported to the McLennan County Jail.
