Ex-Walmart employee arrested for theft

Police arrested a former Walmart employee suspected of stealing nearly $5,000 from the store in February. Charles William Jefferson Jr. was investigated by police in February of 2012 for stealing merchandise and gift cards at the Walmart on the 4000 block of Franklin Ave in Waco.

Jefferson is suspected of stealing at least $2,000 in gift cards and $3,000 in merchandise when he was an employee at the store. During the investigation, Jefferson left his job at Walmart, disappeared for a period of time and had an active warrant for his arrest.

TSTC Police made contact with Jefferson, discovered the warrant and made the arrest.
