Ellison Names New Head Coach/Athletics Director

Ellison High School Names Trent Gregory as Athletic Coordinator/Head Football Coach

Ellison High School has named Trent Gregory, currently coaching at Vandergrift High School in the Leander Independent School District as the new Athletic Coordinator and Head Football Coach.

Coach Gregory received his B.S. in Physical Education and a minor in Health Education from Southwest Texas State University. He began his coaching career in 1985 and has been a position coach, assistant coach, offensive coordinator and a head coach. As a coach his teams have reached the playoffs multiple times, including winning a state championship.

Principal David Dominguez, "This is an exciting day for the Ellison Eagle family! We welcome Coach Gregory, and look forward to his contributions to the story of our proud campus. We are inspired by his enthusiasm and his passion for student success, on and off the field, and we can't wait to get started. Welcome aboard, Coach Gregory!"

    The 2018 Texas A&M softball season came to an end Saturday night as the second-seeded Florida Gators defeated the Aggies in walk-off fashion, 5-3, at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium.     A quartet of Aggies, Dan Erickson, Andrew Paysse, Chandler Phillips and Brandon Smith, highlighted the Division I PING All-Central Region Team which was announced Saturday by the Golf Coaches Association of America. After not seeing action during the fall semester, Erickson came on strong during the spring by playing in eight events and compiling a 71.92 scoring average in 24 rounds.
