Temple ISD offering incentives to students

Temple Independent School District is taking new steps to encourage students not to miss school. At the end of this school year, students who have gone to school for 95 percent of the year will be entered into a drawing to win a netbook computer.

The Temple Education Foundation bought all of Temple I.S.D.'s netbooks, and will donate them back to the district as part of student attendance incentives. 40 netbooks total will be awarded.

The school district is implementing a new Bring Your Own Device Policy at Temple High School this month. If successful, the school district plans on providing the police for other campuses in the 2013-2014 school year.
