WACO -

The driver of a truck suspected of hitting and critically injuring a motorcyclist at the intersection of Highway 84 and Speegleville Rd in January has been arrested. Members of the US Marshal Task Force arrested Ricky Lee Turner for aggravated assault and failure to stop and render aid.

Police say Turner was driving a pick-up truck with a cattle trailer attached when he ran a red light and crashed into a 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Turner failed to stop and render aid and left the scene. Gatesville Police Department Officers were able to locate the truck in their city. Evidence of the crash was recovered from the truck and trailer.

The driver of the motorcycle, 30-year-old Victor Padilla, was transported to Hillcrest Hospital by ETMC and was listed in critical condition. He still remains in a facility being treated for injuries.
