Several accidents have been reported by Waco Police Monday morning. Ice on bridges and overpasses in the Waco area are causing major delays in traffic and crashes.
Police are currently clearing out an accident that occurred at Bosque and University Parks. Several crashes have been reported at Loop 340 and Imperial area, and several crashes have been reported at Interstate 35 from University Parks to Waco Drive.
The Health Department, Park and Recreations offices, and the City of Waco Municipal Court will be closed for the day due to a power outage caused by a damaged power pole from an car crash at Bosque and N. 3rd Street.
Waco Police are urging people to drive with caution and slow down on overpasses and bridges as icing is occurring. Sanding of bridges has been requested so watch for slow moving vehicles as well.
