A McLennan County man is behind bars after leading U.S. Marshals, D.P.S troopers and local police on a chase through Waco and China Spring.
During the chase, 37-year-old Tommie Saulters threatened to kill a man in the back seat . The victim then called police.
Officers deployed spike strips to stop the blue Nissan, but the suspect kept driving on the rims.
The chase ended when Saulters collided into a State Trooper patrol car near 22nd Street and Park Lake Drive in Waco. Police had to bust the windows out of the car in order to arrest Saulters because he locked the doors.
Police also arrested the woman in the back seat of the car, Carrie Woodlock. She faces charges of hindering apprehension by giving the vehicle to Saulters and facilitating the get away.
Saulters was charged in the incident with evading arrest, resisting arrest, and aggravated assault for driving into a DPS vehicle. He is also charged with parole violation and a theft warrant that was issued in October of 2012 for stealing tools and a floor jack from a place in the 4200 block of N. 25th Street.
