LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) - Pierre Jackson scored 18 points to lead Baylor to an 82-48 win over Texas Tech Tuesday night.
Cory Jefferson and Isaiah Austin each added 17 points, with Jefferson also grabbing eight rebounds for the Bears (10-4, 2-0 Big 12). Brady Heslip added 11 points.
Jaye Crockett led the Red Raiders (8-5, 1-1) with 13 points. Freshman Josh Gray added eight points.
The Bears went on a 24-5 run, led by Jefferson and Jackson, which lasted over eight minutes in the middle of the first half. Baylor used a 22-7 stretch in the second half as they continued to wear the Red Raiders' defense out.
Jefferson scored 13 points in the first half and Jackson added 12 to put the Bears up 42-23.
Baylor shot 57.1% from the 3-point line, hitting 8 of 14, while the Red Raiders only connected on 5 of 24, for 20.8%.
