BELLMEAD -
A high school student is robbed by a few other students Thursday night. The victim said he lost his cell phone and more than $100 in cash in the altercation.
Police say three of the suspects in question are students at La Vega High School, and another suspect is a student at University High School. All four of the suspects knew their victim and had even been hanging out with them the same day they were accused of robbing him.
Police say the victim, a La Vega High School student, got a call from someone he thought was a friend. The friend wanted to meet up last Thursday night at the corner of Harrison and Camp Ground in Bellmead.
According to Detective Michael Miller of the Bellmead Police Department, when the victim met up with the students, one of the suspects grabbed him and put him in a choke hold while the others went through his pockets and took his belongings.
The victim called police and identified the suspects. Trevin O'Leary was arrested last Friday and charged with robbery. Police were working Monday afternoon to serve felony warrants to the other three teens.
Detective Miller says all four suspects will likely face organized criminal activity charges as well.
