Waco police are looking for the man behind a New Year's shooting. The incident happened around 2:30 Tuesday morning at 21st Street and Proctor.
Police say two men were in a car together. and one of those men, 32-year-old Roy Harbert, was shot in the chest. The victim then got out of the car and waved down some passersby for help and called 911. The victim was taken to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center, where he is in stable condition.
The suspect abandoned a maroon 2004 Ford Crown Victoria near the scene of the shooting. Police found the car with two flat tires and a bullet hole in it. Officers are now searching for the shooter.
