KILLEEN -
Three suspects have been arrested after they led police on a pursuit on Tuesday. Detectives with the Burglary Unit began investigating a burglary that occurred Monday at a residence in the 4500 block of Windcrest Drive.
Detectives saw two males enter a maroon Toyota Corolla with several stolen items inside. Patrol officers attempted to stop the vehicle for a traffic violation, but the driver refused and lead police on a chase.
Officers pursued the suspected vehicle at FM 439 South onto Roy Reynolds Dr. and into a mobile home park located at 101 N. Roy Reynolds Dr. The vehicle came to a stop and the suspects fled on foot.
The 29-year-old driver and 27-year-old passenger were finally caught and arrested by police. Both suspects were transported to the Killeen City Jail. Detectives later arrested a 21-year-old male in connection with the investigation.
Detectives recovered two handguns and several stolen items from the Corolla, and Harker Heights and Killeen police later recovered a Nissan Xterra that was also reported stolen.
