BELTON - Belton police say two suspects who stole jewelry from the local Wal-Mart early Monday morning may be guilty of similar thefts at that chain in Killeen, Copperas Cove, Lampasas and other locations.
The latest theft happened between midnight and 1 a.m. December 17, 2012. One suspect wore a black T-shirt over a gray long sleeve shirt and blue jeans and has dark hair.
The second suspect was wearing a green hooded sweater with a baseball cap and was seen on surveillance video leaving the store.
The two were last seen in a gray or silver four-door sedan with dark tinted rear windows, but they were believed to be driving a purple or blue PT Cruiser in the other burglaries.
In a similar incident late in November, one of the men broke into a case and stole jewelry worth $20,000. Police said all of the thefts involve either jewelry or electronics or both.
If you have any information on the crimes, or recognize the suspects in surveillance pictures, call Sgt. Larry Berg with Belton Police at 254-933-5840.
