Four Killeen city employees have left or been fired from their positions. Finance Director Barbara Gonzales was fired, effective immediately, and three other fleet service employees have also left the department.
Kim Randall retired, David Riddle resigned and John Acker was fired. All of these former employees had been on administrative leave when an investigation into the fleet services division began October 5.
The fleet services division is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all city vehicles. Interim directors have been put in place while the city works to find permanent replacements. No other details on the investigation have been released.
