BELTON -
A Belton antique shop was engulfed in flames early Wednesday morning. Belton Fire Department was dispatched to a building off Highway 190 between Simmons and FM 1670 at 3:38 a.m.
Fire crews did not know the extent of the fire before arriving. The first unit came within minutes and reported a working fire. Other units such as Stillhouse, Morgan's Point, Salado, and Holland arrived to help assist with putting out the fire.
No one was inside the two story metal antique shop at the time, and fire officials are not sure what caused the fire. The fire is currently under investigation.
