Stolen vehicles found stripped down, suspects arrested

Posted:
MCLENNAN COUNTY -

Three people have been arrested after stealing various vehicles and stripping them down for parts. Michael David Biles, Sydney Renee Giersch, and Frank Emmett Shaffer were each charged with theft.

Captain Kenneth Vanek of the McLennan County Sheriff's Office says deputies went to a location on Cherokee Trail in the Speegleville area of McLennan County on Monday. They had received a call of suspicious activity from a citizen.

When authorities arrived they found two pickup trucks which appeared to have been stripped down for parts. The vehicles had been stolen from Waco, and one of them was stripped down to its bare frame.

A four wheeler and motorcycle were also stolen, and the serial number was removed from the motorcycle. The remains of the stolen property was recovered and the investigation is ongoing.

Giersch has been released and the status of her charges are unknown.
