CENTRAL TEXAS -
A former China Spring band booster club member was sentenced Monday on several counts of child solicitation.
52-year-old John William Kitch received 10 years of prison on four counts of online solicitation of a minor and one count of possession of child pornography. Kitch will serve the sentence concurrently.
Investigators say Kitch sent inappropriate e-mails to an officer, who was posing as a 13-year-old girl online, asking to meet with her.
After that sting operation Kitch was indicted on a total of 22 counts of child online solicitation of a minor back in February.
