BELLMEAD -
Police say a woman traveling from Wal-Mart to Wal-Mart, stealing various items tried to do the same crime a third time in Bellmead.
Bellmead detectives say 29-year-old Bridget Coker was wearing an ankle bracelet because she got caught stealing at the same Wal-Mart in Bellmead, by the same employees, on two separate occasions!
Yesterday afternoon Coker walked into a Wal-Mart and grabbed a back-pack. She filled it up with hygiene supplies and over the counter medicine.
Police say employees noticed her face from the other incidents. Coker tried run when they confronted her, and employees refused to let her leave.
When police got there she admitted her actions were just "stupid," and offered to leave the items behind if police let her go.
Detective Michael Miller said shop lifting crimes usually go up around the holiday's, but Coker didn't steel any Christmas gifts. Coker had a back-pack full of hygiene products and over the counter medicine.
"In her case she didn't steel food or anything that was a Christmas item, she just basically said she needed the items," Miller said.
Detective Miller also said Coker confessed to stealing from two other Wal-Mart's in Waco.
When friends of Coker found out she had been arrested for a third time, they told our cameras they weren't too surprised.
"Hopefully with the time she will be spending in there it will give her a chance to clear her head," said Coker's friends. They did not want their names used in this story.
