Investigators are trying to figure out what started a fire that destroyed a vacant home early Wednesday morning. The fire broke out around 3 a.m. in the 800 block of Coleman.
The chief of Marlin's fire department is identifying the situation as suspected arson, and believes someone may have started the fire.
He also says someone tried to light a second vacant house on fire but it didn't work.
