A Waco man is arrested for attacking his estranged wife's new boyfriend with a hammer. Michael Portillo is accused of breaking into his ex-wife's home in the 2300 block of Washington on December 1.
Portillo's ex-wife and her boyfriend were sleeping when Portillo started attacking the man with a hammer. As the male victim was fighting Portillo off, his ex-wife woke up and tried to help break up the fight.
The suspect dropped the hammer and ran off. When police arrived they found him a short distance away, arrested him and charged him with two burglary with intent to commit another felony assault charges.
