Second prescription fraud suspect arrested

Posted:
WOODWAY -

Woodway police have arrest another person in connection to a prescription fraud case that occurred on October 27. John Eric Stanford has been charged with evading arrest and fraud for assisting Angela Williams in a phony prescription attempt.

Woodway police had responded to a Walgreens Saturday October 27 when employees of the pharmacy called saying they believed a woman was trying to pass a phony prescription.

Police were able to take Williams into custody, but when officers attempted to arrest the two men in the car they drove off and nearly missed hitting a patrol car in the process. The suspect's vehicle was later found behind the Hobby Lobby near Bosque Blvd. and Valley Mills Dr. in Waco.

The investigation led to Stanford who was also picked out of a photo lineup by officers who were on the scene.
