Former Moody school board member sentenced to 8 years in prison

MOODY, TX (KXXV) -

A former Moody School Board member and Public Works Director charged with aggravated sex assault of a minor was sentenced Thursday. Michael Aycock was given eight years in prison on four separate charges.

Aycock was arrested and resigned from his position with Moody Independent School District in May of 2011. He had worked as a member of the school board for four years.

Moody Police investigated Aycock for aggravated sexual assault of a 16-year-old girl. Following the investigation he also resigned from his position with the city.
