Popular discount carrier offering daily nonstop flights from Ft. Lauderdale and Orlando to suburban Providence, Rhode Island

Warwick, RI (PRWEB) November 29, 2012

Today, JetBlue Airways begins daily nonstop flights from Rhode Island to Orlando and Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Specifically, the discount carrier has established two nonstop flights between Orlando (MCO) and T.F. Green Airport (PVD), and one nonstop flight from Fort Lauderdale (FLL) and T.F. Green each day.

Located 12 miles from Providence and 30 miles from Newport along Interstate 95, T.F. Green Airport is easily accessible to Boston, Cape Cod and Southeastern New England.

“We’re thrilled that JetBlue has launched its service here in Rhode Island, and we know Floridians will enjoy everything our state has to offer, including our 400 miles of coastline and abundance of historic landmarks,” said Mark Brodeur, Director of Rhode Island Tourism for the Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation.

Passengers flying into T.F. Green Airport in Rhode Island can easily connect to a rental car facility, train station, bus service and parking through a new $267 million InterLink, a 1,200-foot elevated, enclosed skywalk with moving sidewalks. The airport is the center of the new 95-acre Warwick Station Development District, which offers up to 1.5 million square feet of office, hotel, residential and retail development opportunities.

T.F. Green Airport has been named one of the "Top Five Alternative Airports" in the country by Forbes magazine and received a Reader's Choice recommendation from Condé Nast Traveler.
