A truck driver took quick action to avoid a potentially dangerous situation Wednesday morning on southbound Interstate 35.
Clouds of smoke began coming from the engine of an 18-wheeler. The driver stopped on the side of the interstate near the Central Texas MarketPlace and disconnected the trailer from the truck's tractor.
The truck was towing a load of propane, and once the trailer was disconnected the driver separated it from the tractor even as fire units were responding.
