TEMPLE -
Five people, including two young children, were transported to the hospital after two cars collided at the 4700 block of Charter Oak Drive.
Authorities say a blue Chrysler station wagon had been traveling southbound on Charter Oak Dr. when a blue Ford station wagon attempted to exit a private driveway from the west side of the street. The Ford exited directly into the path of the other vehicle causing the Chrysler to collide with the Ford.
The driver's side door of the Ford was damaged enough that the driver had to be extricated by members of Temple Fire and Rescue. All five people were transported to Scott and White Hospital by EMS with non-life-threatening injuries.
