MCGREGOR -

Police have arrested an 17-year-old man after authorities conducted an investigation and charged him with sexual assault. According to the arrest affidavit, the suspect, Michael D'Angelo, had sex with a woman under the age of 17 without her consent on August 19.

A sane exam was conducted on the victim at Providence Hospital. The sane kit was taken to a DPS lab for analysis where DNA evidence was found.

D'Angelo was brought in for questioning by police and denied having sex with the victim. Authorities took a DNA sample from him, and the lab report showed it matched the DNA evidence.

McGregor Police arrested D'Angelo Monday afternoon just after 3 p.m. He was booked in to the McLennan County Jail on a $20,000 bond.
