Mary Mays came to Central Texas and the First Alert 25 Storm Team in October 2012. She loves being here and looks forward to forecasting the ever changing weather of Central Texas.

Mary was born and raised in Savannah, Georgia and has always been passionate about the weather. As a child Mary spent countless hours each hurricane season tracking Atlantic hurricanes that could possibly threaten her home town. After evacuating for Hurricane Floyd, a storm which turned away from the Georgia coast at the last minute, Mary decided that she wanted to be a meteorologist.

She decided to follow her passion by obtaining a B.S. in Geography and a Certificate of Atmospheric Sciences from the University of Georgia. She further continued her education at Georgia Tech where she received her master's degree in Earth and Atmospheric Sciences. While in graduate school Mary also had the wonderful opportunity to intern at WSB-TV Channel 2 in Atlanta.     

Mary is a true Georgia peach who loves college football, baking, shopping, surfing and spending time with her family. She looks forward to spending time exploring Central Texas and meeting new friends along the way!
