From Baylor Athletic's Department:
WACO, Texas – Baylor's 2013 football schedule will feature six home games, including first-ever trips to Waco by West Virginia and Louisiana-Monroe, as well as five road games and one neutral site contest. The 2013 season is the last chance to watch the Bears play at Floyd Casey Stadium before moving into the on-campus Baylor Stadium prior to the 2014 season.
The Bears have an open date to start the year before hosting Buffalo on Sept. 7 to kick off the 112th football season in school history. Baylor then hits the road to take on SMU in Dallas on Sept. 14 and wraps up non-conference play with a Sept. 21 home game against Louisiana-Monroe.
After another open date, Baylor hosts West Virginia for the first and last time at Floyd Casey Stadium on Oct. 5. The Bears head to Manhattan, Kan., to face Kansas State on Oct. 12, and then they return home to take on Iowa State on Oct. 19. Baylor makes another trip to the Sunflower State to play at Kansas on Oct. 26 before their third and final open date.
The Bears host Oklahoma on Nov. 9 at Floyd Casey Stadium, and a week later they head to Cowboys Stadium to face Texas Tech on Nov. 16. Consecutive road games at Oklahoma State (Nov. 23) and TCU (Nov. 30) precede the final game in Floyd Casey Stadium's 64-year history, as the Bears close down The Case against Texas on Dec. 7.
Eight of Baylor's 2013 opponents are already bowl eligible for the 2012 season, and two more need only one more win to achieve bowl eligibility. Head coach Art Briles will be in his sixth season leading the Bears in 2013, and with one more win this year, Briles will have led Baylor to three consecutive bowl berths for the first time in program history.
All dates on the 2013 schedule are subject to change. Parents' Weekend and Homecoming games will be announced at a later date, and season ticket information will be available in early 2013.
